Symposium on Love in World Religions
Dear Friends,
Institute Vice-President Matthew Lee will be moderating a free online symposium on "Love in World Religions" on August 10th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (ET) as part of the Harvard Human Flourishing Program's broader research project on interpersonal love.
Distinguished symposium panelists include:
- Karma Lekshe Tsomo, PhD, Professor of Religious Studies, University of San Diego;
- Rita D. Sherma, PhD, Director & Associate Professor, The Mira & Ajay Shingal Center for Dharma Studies & The Graduate Theological Union;
- Megan Adamson Sijapati, PhD, Professor of Religious Studies, Gettysburg College;
- Yudit Kornberg Greenberg, PhD, George D. and Harriet W. Cornell Endowed Chair of Religion at Rollins College & Director of the Jewish Studies Program.
Special thanks to Dr. Yudit Greenberg for helping to organize the event. Dr. Greenberg served as editor of the excellent two-volume Encyclopedia of Love in World Religions, which was supported by the Institute. The symposium is supported by funding from the John Templeton Foundation.
